Bulimia Nervosa
What is bulimia nervosa?

Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder where one "binges" by eating a large amount of food with a loss of control and then "purges" to get rid of the calories, such as vomiting or misuse of laxatives.
Bulimia, like most eating disorders, often comes with high amounts of shame. At Recovered and Restored we work hard to help clients break the cycle of shame while helping them break up with their eating disorders.
Shame often exists because we isolate ourselves and feel the need to hide. You never need to hide from us at Recovered and Restored. We know recovery is hard and it will not be perfect. At Recovered and Restored we are humans first and therapists second and we know how challenging the human experience can be.
