Recovered Professionals With Real Experience & Advanced Training Serving Chester Springs
Recovered & Restored was built by clinicians who understand eating disorders clinically - and personally. Our founder and Clinical Director, Gabrielle Morreale, LPC, is personally recovered from a long battle with anorexia. Her journey shaped her purpose: to be the voice she needed years ago, and to make sure no one has to navigate recovery alone.
Gabby began her education with a bachelor’s degree from Cabrini College, followed by a master’s degree from Rosemont College. From there, she worked in community mental health, obtained advanced training in CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, ERP, and ACT, and sought out specialized supervision so she could devote her career to eating disorder treatment.
She also completed training with leaders in the field ,such as Jennifer Rollin and Dr. Colleen Reichman. Her background reflects the heart of our entire center: clinicians who are deeply committed, highly trained, and passionate about helping clients heal in a safe, affirming environment.

Our Approach: Relational, Compassionate & Accessible Through Virtual Therapy
Eating disorder recovery is not just about behaviors. It’s about connection, relationship, and support. At Recovered & Restored, we use a relational approach that honors your lived experience and creates a therapeutic partnership built on trust. Skills are important, but recovery thrives when clients feel understood, valued, and supported.
Our treatment integrates evidence-based modalities - CBT-E, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed therapy, and values-based work, along with a harm-reduction mindset. We understand that unrealistic goals can overwhelm someone whose body and brain are struggling, so we work collaboratively to meet you where you are with gentleness and realistic steps forward.
Virtual therapy has become one of the most accessible and effective forms of care. Clients benefit from consistent appointments, reduced travel barriers, and the comfort of meeting from home, school, or even from the car between responsibilities. Virtual therapy has allowed many people to receive regular support, especially teens and college students, improving continuity and overall outcomes. We proudly offer virtual eating disorder therapy in Chester Springs, PA, as well as across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut, Vermont, South Carolina, and Florida.
Why Restriction Damages the Brain - And Why Virtual Therapy Matters
Restriction, purging, compulsive exercise, and chronic dieting impact far more than eating habits. When the brain is under-nourished or deprived, it becomes significantly harder to regulate emotions, think clearly, make decisions, or feel connected to others. Clients often report feeling foggy, overwhelmed, numb, or stuck.
When a brain is not receiving enough nourishment, it struggles to process emotions, engage in distress tolerance, or use learned coping skills effectively. Our work helps clients reconnect to their internal signals, identify the emotions beneath the eating disorder, and learn healthier ways to respond. Therapy helps the eating disorder quiet down so that healing can continue - not just physically, but emotionally and mentally.
Eating Disorders Can Affect Anyone
One of the biggest misconceptions is that eating disorders have a certain “look” or only affect specific body types. In reality, they occur across all genders, sizes, backgrounds, and ages. Clients in larger bodies can struggle with restrictive patterns just as those in smaller bodies can struggle with binge eating.
At Recovered & Restored, we approach every client with an inclusive, Health at Every Size perspective. Weight does not determine the severity of an eating disorder, and no one should be denied care because they don’t fit outdated stereotypes. Everyone has a story that deserves to be heard without judgment or bias.
We work with teens, college students, adults, athletes, postpartum individuals, and anyone navigating disordered eating, chronic dieting, food fears, exercise compulsion, or body-image distress. No matter where you fall on the spectrum of struggle, you deserve healing.
