This isn’t about having a meal plan forced upon you or counting calories and macros. This is about rediscovering the joy of food!

Working with a dietitian will help you get to a place where you can finally break out of diet culture and all the “rules” that they impose.

This is where you can start to find food freedom.

Meal Coaching

Mealtime can be a tough time for anyone with an eating disorder. Girl, we’ve got your back!

Meal coaching is 45-50 minutes and is designed to give you support throughout your meals. During these sessions, you can eat a meal with your coach right there in session to build support around the process or talk through your feelings about the meal.  Meal Coaching also helps build resilience and strength around sitting with fullness and processing the discomfort.

If you are supporting someone else in their eating disorder recovery, this process can help you learn how to support them with nutritional information and supportive language.

Available to all US residents.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma Therapy for Eating Disorders

One-fourth of all people diagnosed with an eating disorder will also have symptoms of C-PTSD. Sadly, it is often a co-occurring diagnosis.

We approach trauma with gentleness and compassion. Using a combination of breath-work, mindfulness, CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), movement therapy, art therapy, and psycho-education, we'll work with you to process your trauma and start to embrace a life you love.

Available to all residents of PA, NJ, FL, SC and DE.

Therapy for Athletes

Almost any athletic coach will tell you that mindset is usually what gets competitive athletes to the next level. Dedicated physical training is essential, but an athlete’s attitude, self-talk, and beliefs are what make them push harder, go all in, and perform at their best.

Mindset is so powerful that sometimes it leads athletes down a dangerous path of trying to control and micromanage every aspect of their lives in pursuit of their goals. This includes disordered eating.

Online Therapy

For those struggling with an eating disorder, online therapy can offer the necessary help and support for the recovery journey. Research has shown how online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy.

Recovered and Restored Eating Disorder Therapy Center offers online therapy sessions to all residents of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Florida, and South Carolina.

EMDR

Our bodies and brains are naturally wired to want to be well. When we experience trauma or adverse life experiences, those experiences and memories can get locked in the brain. This can often lead to maladaptive symptoms. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy that can help individuals process traumatic experiences, alleviate negative symptoms, and find relief and freedom in their lives.

EMDR is an evidence-based psychotherapy that is based on the model called Adaptive Information Processing (AIP). EMDR was developed over 30 years ago. It is often used for PTSD, but it’s also successful with other disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, chronic pain, addictions, grief, and other distressing life experiences.

Parent Coaching

It is so hard to see your daughter struggling with an eating disorder! You might feel helpless and completely unsure of what to do.

Parent Coaching sessions are designed to help parents understand where their teen may be coming from and to help improve the family dynamics in the home.  This also includes psycho-education to better understand eating disorders and other mental health disorders and how to support your teen in their recovery.

These sessions are helpful for parents of teens struggling with eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, or orthorexia. They also can be helpful to parents of high-risk teens.

Make your home a supportive space for your loved one to recover.

Parent Coaching is available to all US residents.

Family Therapy

For those struggling with an eating disorder, a good support system matters immensely!

When treating teens with eating disorders, family therapy often plays an essential part in recovery. Family therapy is an evidence-based intervention that can be used to support those that have a loved one struggling with eating disorders. It is often a very crucial part of your teen’s or loved one’s recovery.

In family therapy sessions, you will be offered information on how to support your loved one as they heal from their eating disorder. This will include but is not limited to improving family dynamics and patterns, setting goals, developing supportive language, and exploring your own relationship with food and body image.

As apart of these sessions we include psycho-education to better understand eating disorders better, because let’s be honest, if you haven’t experienced them yourself, they can be incredibly difficult to understand!

Family Therapy is available to residents of PA.
