It is something that typically feels safe and allows us to eat it somewhat consistently during our eating disorder. Safe food should be something you don’t feel the need to restrict or purge. For some, it might be vegetables or salads. While these foods are not inherently bad, relying solely on them can limit our nutritional variety and overall well-being.

In recovery, it’s essential to expand our safe foods and explore foods outside our comfort zones. This helps us build a more diverse and balanced diet.
